OJSC "BMZ — holding management company "BMK" was the winner of the contest "the Best exporter of 2019" in the nomination "metallurgy". This victory of the Belarusian chamber of Commerce and industry awarded the company the sixth year in a row.
Recognition at the national contest is the result of hard work of the staff of the Belarusian metallurgical plant. Thanks to the coordinated work of the whole team, BMZ in 2019 exported to 65 countries 2.2 million tons of steel products. The company not only retained a presence in the traditional markets, but also expanded them. So, new countries (where products are not delivered 5 years or more) were Azerbaijan, Kenya, Libya, Uganda and Haiti. Last year, the BMZ was also able to come up with new types of products to the markets of Japan, Hungary, Serbia, Ukraine, Algeria, Ghana and Iraq. In the regional distribution of exports the leading position was taken by the Russian Federation, the EU and Africa. It is worth noting that on the African continent, the plant increased deliveries to 80,8% in natural expression and 53.4% in value terms, expanding the geography of sales to 16 countries. If we talk about the sales of BMZ in terms of countries, the TOP 5 key importers of steel products Zhlobin includes Russia, Germany, Egypt, Lithuania and the Netherlands with Israel on the 5-th row.
&bsp;&bsp; after four months 2020 BMZ, despite the external factors associated with pandemic sold for export to 48 countries over 717 thousand tons of steel products. In the regional context, the redistribution of certain volumes from Africa and the Middle East to the European market. More than 50% over the same period of 2019 was grown in bulk and in money terms export plant in Austria, Spain, Poland, Romania, Finland, France and Switzerland. Compared with last year, significantly increased sales in the United States, Singapore, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, and Ukraine. If we talk in terms of separate types of products, according to the results of work for January-April, 2020, in foreign markets, a decrease in the consumption of steel cord and seamless pipes. However, BMZ almost 25% in value terms, increased its exports of rebar in coils, which was implemented in Lithuania, the Netherlands, Serbia, Israel and Ukraine.
