INTERNATIONAL STANDARD

THERMOMECHANICALLY STRENGTHENED STEEL FOR REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES

Technical Terms

GOST 10884-94

Thermomechanically hardened steel bars for reinforced

concrete constructions. Specifications

Date of introduction 1996-01-01

Foreword

1. DEVELOPED TC 120 "Cast iron, steel, rolled "

INTRODUCED by the State Standard of Russia

2. ACCEPTED by the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification (Protocol No. 6-94 dated 10.17.94)

3. By the Decree of the Committee of the Russian Federation for Standardization, Metrology and Certification No. 214 dated April 13, 1995, the interstate standard GOST 10884-94 was put into effect directly as a state standard of the Russian Federation from January 1, 1996

4. REPLACE GOST 10884 -81

1. SCOPE

This standard applies to thermomechanically hardened steel smooth and periodic profile with diameters of 6-40 mm, intended for reinforcement of reinforced concrete structures.

The standard contains certification requirements for thermomechanically hardened reinforcing steel for reinforced concrete structures.

3. DEFINITIONS

The following terms are used in this standard:

3.1 Reinforcing steel of periodic profile - rods with evenly spaced on their surface at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the rod transverse protrusions (corrugations) to improve adhesion to concrete.

3.2 Smooth reinforcing steel - round rods with a smooth surface that does not have corrugations to improve adhesion to concrete.

3.3 Strength class - the standardized value of the physical or conditional yield strength of steel established by the standard.

3.4 Angle of inclination of the transverse protrusions - the angle between the transverse protrusions (grooves) and the longitudinal axis of the bar.

3.5 Step of transverse protrusions is the distance between the centers of two successive transverse protrusions, measured parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bar.

3.6 Height of transverse protrusions - the distance from the highest point of the transverse protrusion to the surface of the core of a bar of a periodic profile, measured at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the bar.

3.7 Nominal diameter of periodic profile steel (profile number) - diameter of equal cross-sectional area
