China promises to continue the program to reduce outdated steel production capacity and coal
this year, China will continue to reduce its obsolete capacity for the production of coal and steel production, said in a statement to the National Commission of development and reform Commission (NDRC) people's Republic of China (PRC).
China will continue to implement structural reforms on the supply side in the steel sector, will accelerate the reduction of excess capacity and encourage green and innovative development of the sector, told the NDRC.
the statement said that the coal mines that do not meet safety standards and environment of the country should be liquidated and will also be reduced by inefficient production capacity.
Total number of coal mines should be reduced by more than 5 000 units, while the share of large coal mines will be increased to 96 percent of total production in the country, said in a separate statement NDRC.
China aims to improve its energy structure to make it more environmentally friendly and efficient. According to the Commission, in coal mines it is recommended to use information technology to further enhance safety and efficiency.
Recall that China actively reduce outdated steel and coal power the last 5 years. However, Beijing also actively builds new plants that produce higher quality products in comparable amounts.
Earlier today in the Association of iron and steel of China (CISA< / span>) reported a new record in average daily steel production in the country. Daily steel production amounted to an average of 2,109 million tons of steel a day in early June, which is 0.8% more than in the last decade of may and 2.4% more than in the same week last year. This is 4 tons more than recorded in mid-September 2019 the previous record of 2,105 million tons per day.
