Ukraine has lost about 20% of export proceeds from trade in ferrous metals
according to the State customs service (GTS) of Ukraine, enterprises of ferrous metallurgy of the country in January-June 2020 reduced earnings from exports of metal products by 18.7% compared to the same period last year to 3.9 billion US dollars.
For ferrous metals in the first half of this year had of 17.01% of total export income in Ukraine against 19.6% for the first six months of last year. In June, receipts from export of ferrous metals amounted to 604,122 million dollars.
At the same time Ukraine in January-June 2020 reduced the import of similar products by 22.6% to 464,649 million dollars. In June, the figure was 86,578 million dollars.
in addition, Ukraine in January-June reduced the export of metal products by 17.4% to 441,384 million dollars. In June they were shipped on 77,237 million dollars. During this period, imports of metal products decreased by 26.9% to 386,413 million dollars. In June they were imported into 69,198 million dollars.
As reported, the metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine in 2019, reduced earnings from exports of ferrous metals by 12.1% compared to the 2018 year – on-year to us $ 8.7 billion. While ferrous metals had of 17.45% of total income from exports of goods against of 20.99% in 2018. At the same time Ukraine in 2019 decreased import of similar products by 6.9% – to $ 1.3 billion. In addition, Ukraine in 2019, reduced the export of metal products by 6.1% to $ 1.4 billion. During this period, imports of metal products increased by 13.6% to nearly $ 2 billion.
