China has sharply increased the export of excavators by reducing supplies to the domestic market
Major Chinese excavator manufacturers reported a sharp increase in export volumes in the first four months of 2022.
In January-April, the export volumes of the top 26 Chinese manufacturers of these products increased by 78.9% year on year, to 33,791 units, according to the China Association of Construction Machinery Manufacturers.
Domestic sales of this equipment fell by 56.1% compared to a year earlier and amounted to 67,918 units for the specified period, the association noted.
Excavator exports totaled 8,502 units in April, up 55.2% year-on-year, while domestic sales fell 61% to 16,032 units.
