18th China-ASEAN EXPO ends with record deals

In Nanning, the administrative center of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (South China), the 18th China-ASEAN EXPO and the concurrent China-ASEAN trade and investment summit ended today.

During the exhibition, exhibitors entered into 179 transactions for a record total of over 300 billion yuan (about $ 46.59 billion). According to the EXPO secretariat, released at the closing ceremony, the total amount of transactions increased by 13.7% compared to the previous exhibition.

This year, EXPO held 148 events to stimulate trade and economic ties and 26 high-level forums on the topic of industrial chains, cooperation on industrial potential, customs and healthcare.

5,400 stands for offline exhibitors were installed on an exhibition area of ​​over 100 thousand square meters. More than 1,500 companies took part in the EXPO in person.

The area of ​​the exhibition area of ​​foreign countries amounted to about 20 thousand square meters, an increase of 13.4% compared to last year, the organizers noted.

The 19th China-ASEAN EXPO is tentatively scheduled for September 16-19, 2022, and Malaysia will become the thematic country, said the head of the exhibition secretariat Wang Lei.
