Belarus resumes pumping oil to Poland

Belarus resumed oil supplies to Poland after scheduled work on the Druzhba pipeline. The work was carried out from June 8 to June 13, at which time the oil pumping was suspended.

Repairs were carried out on the 227th kilometer of the Mozyr-Brest oil pipeline, according to a press release from Gomeltransneft Druzhba. A section of the pipeline with a length of 250 m was replaced. "The work is aimed at increasing the reliability of the main oil pipeline at the site," the company said.

Polish pipeline operator PERN explained that the suspension is in line with the monthly schedule provided to Transneft and clients in Poland and Germany.

"Gomeltransneft Druzhba " is a Belarusian operator of MN "Druzhba " and carries out pumping of oil coming from the Russian part of the pipeline to the countries of Western and Eastern Europe, supplies Belarusian refineries with hydrocarbons. In 2020, the enterprise pumped 61.5 million tons of oil.

The Company ensures the operation of about 1240 kilometers of the oil pipeline, which includes oil trunk pipelines with diameters of 1020, 820, 720, 630 and 530 mm.
