Eurostat producer Prices of industrial production in the Eurozone fell by 1.5%
In March 2020, when the member States of the European Union has started introducing measures to curb COVID-19, producer prices of industrial production in the Eurozone fell by 1.5% compared to February 2020. This is stated in the documents Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
In February 2020 prices in the Eurozone fell 0.7%.
In March 2020 in comparison with March, 2019, prices of manufacturers of industrial production in the Eurozone fell by 2.8%.
In the energy sector, producer prices of industrial products in the Euro area in March 2020, compared to February 2020 fell by 5.5%. Prices in total industry excluding energy fell by 0.2%.
the Biggest decline in producer prices of industrial products was observed in Greece (-5,3%), Lithuania (-5,1%) and Spain (is 3.0%), while the only increases were registered in Cyprus (+ 0.5%), in Latvia and Malta (both + 0,2%).
