China's lithium-ion battery sector showed growth in January-February 2023
The Chinese lithium-ion battery sector maintained its upward trend in the first two months of 2023, according to data from the Ministry of Industry and Informatization of the PRC.
According to the ministry, between January and February of this year, the total the country's production of lithium-ion batteries exceeded 102 GWh, up 24% year-on-year.
In particular, the production of lithium-ion batteries used for energy storage and to power vehicles from new sources energy, amounted to more than 15 GWh and about 38 GWh, respectively.
In January-February of this year, the volume of exports of lithium-ion batteries from China in value terms reached 70.6 billion yuan (about 10. 26 billion USD).
