Stellantis plans a $70 billion restructuring, building on its success in the United States
Stellantis has unveiled an investment plan worth 60 billion euros ($70 billion) by 2030 as part of a massive reorganization aimed at restoring profitability, regaining market share and focusing resources on the four main brands.:Jeep, Ram, Peugeot and Fiat, according to Bloomberg . The group plans to launch 60 new models, with about 70% of costs going to these priority divisions, while regional brands such as Dodge and Citroën will benefit from shared platforms, transmissions and technologies.
In North America, Stellantis is aiming for 25% revenue growth with new compact and midsize pickups, a base Dodge model, and three Chrysler crossovers priced from $25,000 to $35,000. By 2030, the company aims to achieve revenue of 190 billion euros, adjusted operating profit of 7% (up to 10% in North America) and free cash flow from industrial activities of 6 billion euros.
CEO Antonio Filosa is also fighting overcapacity in Europe, reducing production by 800,000 units, retraining plants and sharing factories with Chinese partners Dongfeng and Leapmotor in France and Spain. The partnership with Tata and JLR complements the Group's cooperation strategy, and Maserati will receive two electrified models and a new development plan in December.
