7 Steel Nordic expands rebar production in Denmark

7 Steel Denmark, part of 7 Steel Nordic, which took over the management of Celsa's former facilities in Scandinavia, has invested in expanding its Danish office in Olstik, 30 km north of Copenhagen, Kallanish said.

According to a company representative, cutting and bending operations are mainly performed at this site; production covers the entire range of reinforcement products and solutions. The company has now built a new production building equipped with both indoor and outdoor cranes, he adds.

The new equipment includes a cutting line with automatic packaging and labeling; a double bending machine with automatic adjustment; and a logistics center. a system for more efficient planning and processing of major shipments of fittings, as well as automated storage of fittings with a tracking module.

"The investment is a key step towards increasing our production capacity, as well as allowing us to install new state-of-the-art equipment without disrupting current operations," the company said in a LinkedIn post.

According to the company's representative, the introduction of the new equipment will begin gradually, and full operation, including full IT integration, is expected in September or October.
