In the first five months of this year, German steel production decreased by 10.8% year-on-year to 14.43 million tons.

In the reporting month, the volume of pig iron production in Germany amounted to 1.83 million tons, which is 9.8% less than in the period from January to May. Year-on-year, the volume of hot-rolled steel production in the country decreased by 13.7% to 9.01 million tons.

In May, the production of hot-rolled steel in the country increased by 0.5% year-on-year to 2.66 million tons, while in the first five months of this year it decreased by 8.3% to 12.79 million tons. year, both compared to the same periods of the previous year.
