The number of registered commercial vehicles in Europe decreased by 13.4% in the first half of 2025%
According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), in the first half of this year, the number of registered new commercial vehicles in the European Union (EU) decreased by 13.4% year-on-year to 902,617 units. The first half of the year was challenging for the EU commercial vehicle market, marked by a significant reduction in the number of registrations in key markets due to the already difficult economic situation.
The number of registered new trucks in the EU decreased by 15.4% year-on-year to 155,367 units in the first half of this year. On the other hand, bus sales fell 4.4% year-on-year compared to the same period in 2024, totaling 18,123 units.
During this period, there was a decrease in the number of truck registrations in all major EU markets, including Germany (-27.5%), France (-18.8%), Spain (-13.6%), and Italy (-13.3%).
