Peter Sikorsky appointed as new President of PUDS

The Board of the Polish Steel Distributors Union (PUDS) has appointed Piotr Sikorski as the new Board President effective August 27, 2025. He replaced Ms. Ivona Dybal, who had been the head of the organization for the past 13 years and resigned.

The Organization expresses its sincere gratitude to Ms. Ivona Dybal for her long-term commitment, dedication and significant contribution to strengthening the steel distribution sector in Poland, for representing the interests of Union members in dialogue with stakeholders and for her role in improving the professionalism and development of PUDS.

Peter Sikorski, the new president of PUDS, has been closely associated with the steel industry for many years and previously served as the director of the organization. Since December 2024, he has also been a member of the Presidential Council of EUROMETAL, the European Federation for the Distribution and Trade of Steel Pipes and Metals.

"As President of PUDS, my priority is to further strengthen the organization as a representative of the steel distribution industry in Poland, while expanding the range of companies we can support. Given the growing importance of regulatory issues, it is crucial for the Union to remain a strong and recognized representative of the Polish steel sector. I intend to deepen the dialogue with government agencies, economic partners and industry organizations, as well as support our members in adapting to new challenges such as decarbonization, sustainable development, digitalization of processes and growing barriers to international trade," emphasized Peter Sikorsky.

With extensive management experience, he consistently advocates for strengthening the role of the steel distribution sector in the economy, emphasizing its importance not only in trade, but also in value-added services and refining. Mr. Sikorski graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw.
