Fire at thyssenkrupp Steel plant in Duisburg near Bruckhausen plant
On the evening of October 24, 2025, a fire broke out at the thyssenkrupp Steel plant in Bruckhausen, Duisburg, Germany.
The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. and was quickly brought under control by the plant's emergency services with the support of the Duisburg Professional Fire Department.
There have been no reports of injuries, and the NINA warning app has since officially announced that everything is fine.
The fire occurred at a plant producing rolled products for critical industries, including the automotive industry. thyssenkrupp Steel's Duisburg plant, one of Europe's largest manufacturers of rolled products, employs about 13,000 people, including 500 more interns.
The authorities have been informed, and no major disruptions have been announced at the moment.
