The volume of production in India, the USA and Germany decreased again in the global trend
Global steel production in February declined for the sixth month in a row by 2.2% year-on-year to 141.8 million tons, despite another noticeable jump in production in Germany, while production in the United States and India continued to decline, said Kallanish from worldsteel data.
As in January, this figure, however, is based on an estimate of Chinese production, which in February amounted to 76.09 million tons, which is 3.6% less than last year. Indian production increased by 7.7% to 13.6 million tonnes, but declined from a record high in January.
.Production in Japan remained unchanged at 6.4 million tons, while production in South Korea increased by 0.2% to 4.82 million tons.
Production in the EU fell by 3.6% to 9.83 million tons in February, despite the fact that production in Germany increased by 4.8% to 2.83 million tons, and in Italy - by 2.7% to 1.87 million tons. Production in Spain decreased by 23% to 807,000 tons

S. steel production rose 5.8% year-on-year to 6.5 million tons in February, while Brazilian production fell 5.7% to 2.5 million tons.
According to estimates, production in Russia decreased by 10.2% to 5.03 million tons, and in Ukraine - by 9.9% to 515,000 tons.
Thus, global steel production in January-February decreased by 1.5% year-on-year to 298.2 million tons, while India, the United States, South Korea, Turkey and Germany continued the trend.
