The EU suspects China in circumvention of duties on galvanized and coated rolled steel
the European Commission has notified the initiation of an investigation concerning possible circumvention of anti-dumping duties on corrosion-resistant flat rolled plated manufactured steel enterprises of China. According to the Commission, circumvention measures at the expense of minimal modification of steel products affected by the duties, in particular, by applying a thin oil layer or a slight change in the composition of the steel or coating.
the Investigation will last 9 months. In addition, the EU launched a special procedure that allows to impose retroactive duties on steel.
