The Czech company Nova Hut announced the delivery of new materials from the German Benteler Group for testing at its medium-grade plant.

According to the company, this is part of an expanding collaboration with Benteler's steel and pipe manufacturing division. The plant is testing various grades of steel for the production of semi-finished products.

Nova Hut received a square blank from Lingen in Germany for direct rolling of bars and small profiles, as well as blumes that require deeper processing.

The company noted that, in addition to the standard range of medium—grade mills, these materials will be used for the production of OTB rods - threaded and anchor rods.

Such products are used in construction, geotechnics, tunneling and mining.

In August, the steel mill also announced the purchase of billets from 7Steel Nordic, a division of the Czech investment group Sev.en Global Investment.
