NV Rosseel, a Belgian steel distributor based in Tilth, acquired NV Aleja's business in Welle-Denderle on October 1. The company was previously owned by Mark De Winter and his family.

At the first stage, the daily work will remain unchanged, and the existing team will continue to work in the same place.

The deal is intended to strengthen Rosseel's production facilities and technical base in Tilt and Ruddervoord, where the company has been operating since 2021. Aleja specializes in the manufacture of steel beams and reinforcing steel, which complements the current Rosseel profile.

"Aleja is interesting to us because it doesn't just duplicate our activities,— said Rosseel Managing Director Johan Rosseel. "The company produces steel beams and reinforcing steel and has production capabilities that we currently do not have."

Rosseel highlighted the technical knowledge and experience of the Aleja team as one of the key advantages of the deal. In turn, Aleja will gain access to the inventory and custom metalworking services available at Rosseel sites in Tilt and Rudderward.
