Swedish specialty steel producer Alleima has received an order to supply pipes for the Sizewell C nuclear power plant in Suffolk, UK.

The order includes pipes for the two EPR1600 reactors planned for the plant. It was booked in the fourth quarter of 2026 by Alleima Tube. Deliveries are due to begin in 2027 and continue for about two years.

The company did not disclose the value of the order, the volume of deliveries or the pipes’ exact technical specifications.

Karl von Schantz, president of Alleima Tube, said the order marks the start of the company’s cooperation with a new customer in the nuclear industry. He said equipment used in close proximity to nuclear reactors must meet strict requirements for material quality and technical performance. Alleima expects to meet these requirements through its materials expertise and manufacturing experience.
