An electric plane was presented for the first time in France

An electric aircraft Eviation Alice, intended for regional air transportation, is presented at the Paris Air Show, writes Tehnot.

For now, the Israeli company Eviation does not set itself the goal of competing with traditional aircraft over long distances.

Alice will serve the so-called medium-haul flights with a duration of up to 1600 km. The aircraft's engines are made by Siemens and magniX and will be located on the wing edges and in the tail. The 12.2-meter aircraft will be able to fly at a cruising speed of 445 km /h and carry up to 9 passengers at a distance of up to 1050 km.

The entire composite structure is built for electrical integration, extreme motion and aerodynamic efficiency and flight stability.

The launch of the aircraft with a wingspan of 16 meters is planned after certification, which is to take place in 2021. Eviation plans commercial flights for 2022.
