In July 2025, metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine smelted 581 thousand tons of steel (-18.1% YoY; -6.4% mom), ranking 23rd in the Worldsteel ranking out of 70 countries. In January-July, output amounted to 4,263 million tons (-7% YoY), for this period Ukraine — 22 ha.
According to Worldsteel, in July, India, the United States, Turkey and Iran showed growth compared to last year, while other top-10 countries recorded a decrease.
The World Steel Association is an international association of the steel industry that unites steel manufacturers, national and regional industry associations and research institutes; its members provide about 85% of global steel production. The headquarters is located in Brussels, and there is an office in Beijing. The organization was founded in 1967 as the International Institute of Iron and Steel and received its current name in 2008.
