Interpipe started supplying pipes for salt mines in Italy
The Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe continues to expand its presence in the European market, supplying pipe products that meet the highest technical standards for specialized customer projects. This was announced by the company's press service.
The company noted that one of these projects is being implemented in Italy (Pisa province, Tuscany region). For this purpose, the company has already started supplying 127 mm diameter casing pipes manufactured in accordance with API 5ct standard. The products will be used in the local salt industry.
Salt extraction from deposits in Tuscany has a thousand-year history, and has been carried out on an industrial scale for more than 100 years. The extraction process begins with drilling relatively shallow wells, which are designed using seamless casing pipes and tubing made of steel with the necessary strength and corrosion resistance for use in highly aggressive environmental conditions.
"In recent years, the European market has become a real home for the company. Interpipe has mastered and implemented more than 250 new types of pipe products, which are mainly niche products to meet the specific needs of EU customers. Consequently, Interpipe demonstrates that it is able to offer customized solutions for the most demanding orders, in particular, for drilling in highly corrosive and aggressive environments, such as salt mines in Italy in the production and production of ultrapure salt for the pharmaceutical and agroarchological industries," Interpipe said in a release.
Interpipe is a Ukrainian industrial company, manufacturer of steel pipes and railway products. The company's products are supplied to more than 50 countries around the world through a network of sales offices located in key markets in the Middle East, North America and Europe. In 2024, Interpipe sold 511,000 tons of pipe products and 115,000 tons of railway products. Railway products are sold under the KLW brand.
The total number of Interpipe employees is about 9,5 thousand. The number of our employees who serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other law enforcement agencies is at the level of 1070 people.
In 2024, the company transferred UAH 5.5 billion to the budgets of all levels, which is a record amount of taxes and fees paid.
