China reduced steel output by 9.2% in June%

China reduced steel production by 9.2% in June compared to the same month last year, to 83.18 million tons, according to the country's State Statistical Office.

This is the most significant drop since August 2024, while production has been at its lowest level since the beginning of this year.

Compared to May, steel output decreased by 3.9%.

In the first half of the year, the country's steel output decreased by 3% compared to the same period a year earlier and amounted to 514.83 million tons.
