production at last year's level: Rio Tinto shipped more than 326 million tons of ore

By the end of 2025, Rio Tinto mining company shipped 326.2 million tons of iron ore from the Pilbara region, which is 1% less year-on-year. This is stated in the relevant report of the company.

The volume of ore production at enterprises in Western Australia last year amounted to 327.3 million tons, which is generally in line with the level of 2024.

At the same time, the company reported record production and shipments in the fourth quarter. In October-December 2025, ore production at enterprises in the Pilbara increased by 4% YoY to 89.7 million tons. Its shipment in the fourth quarter increased by 7% year-on-year, to 91.3 million tons.

For 2026, the company forecasts the total volume of iron ore supplies at the level of 343-366 million tons.
