An Indian company is building a ferroalloy plant in the Suez Canal economic Zone.

Indian railway manufacturer Jai Dadi Group has signed an agreement to build a $16 million ferroalloy production plant in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) in Egypt, SBB Daily Briefing reports.

It is expected that the project will produce silica manganese, intermediate iron products from scrap metal and process ferroalloys.

SCZONE said the project will be implemented on an 80,000 square meter site in East Ismailia, one of the industrial zones it manages.

The plant is expected to create about 300 jobs.
