TMK summed up the results of the first corporate award in the field of sustainable development

For the first time, the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) has held a competition for the title of "Leader of Sustainable Development" among the company's enterprises and divisions. The Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (ChelPipe), a branch of TMK, became its first owner by the end of 2025.

ChelPipe presented 10 implemented projects in the field of sustainable development, from the modernization of gas purification equipment to the creation of its own volunteer center. According to the results of their assessment, as well as an assessment of the plant's overall performance in the field of sustainable development in 2025, ChelPipe scored the highest number of points.

In total, the jury of TMK's top management reviewed 60 projects that were in the process of being implemented or were implemented in 2025. Applications were evaluated in two blocks. The first one includes 20 performance indicators for the implementation of TMK's Sustainable Development Strategy and assumes an assessment on a fixed scale. The second block evaluates the projects of enterprises in the areas of strategy. The winner is selected based on the sum of the points scored in two blocks.

"The Corporate Award highlights the efforts of our enterprises to ensure TMK's sustainable development. The jury members noted the high level of the submitted projects — most were rated 7 points or higher with a maximum of 10. Such serious competition demonstrates the high level of integration of the environmental and social agenda into the activities of enterprises and their involvement in achieving the company's long—term goals in this area," said Vladimir Oborsky, Deputy General Director of TMK, Curator of sustainable Development at the company.

The TMK Sustainable Development Leader Award was established in 2025 and is attended by the company's branches, divisions and enterprises. In the applications for the competition, participants submit environmental measures, initiatives in the field of combating climate change and energy efficiency, projects to improve the working conditions of employees and improve occupational safety, training and promotion of a healthy lifestyle, etc. It is planned to determine the "Leader of TMK's sustainable development" annually.
