Imports of flat rolled products decreased by 11.7%
During January–April 2026, 313.94 thousand units were sent to the Ukrainian market. Tons of flat rolled metal, which is 11.7% less than in the same period of 2025. This is evidenced by the calculations of the State Customs Service.
More than 50% of imports account for flat rolled products with a coating (UKTVED 7210) — 164,22 thousand. Tons, which is 10% more than yoy. Turkey was the main supplier of products during the specified period — 83.34 thousand tons. Tons, South Korea — 13.7 thousand. T and Slovakia-13.58 thousand tons.
Another 27.7% of shipments, or 87.06 thousand. Tons (-35.1% YoY), accounted for flat hot-rolled products (UKTVED 7208). The main source of supplies of these products is Turkey — 71.03 thousand tons. Another 9.69 thousand tons. Tons were imported from China and 1.86 thousand tons. T is from the Czech Republic.
Also, 28.55 thousand were imported during the period. Tons of flat cold-rolled products (UKTVED 7209), which is 24.1% less than in 2014. 26.62 thousand tons were imported from Turkey. Tons of products from Slovakia — 1.46 thousand tons.
In April, Ukrainian consumers imported 80.09 thousand tons. Tons of flat rolled products, which is 3.7% less YoY and 21.2% less m/m. Supplies of coated flat rolled products amounted to 45.37 thousand tons. Tons (+8.4% YoY; -6.9% m/m), flat rolled products — 21.34 thousand tons. Tons (-39.2% yoy; -31.9% m./m.), flat rolled products — 5.46 thousand. Tons (-38% yoy; -51.8% M/m).
In January–April, the cost of importing flat rolled products decreased by 12.9% YoY, to $323.04 million, and in April decreased by 6% YoY and by 13.6% YoY, to $84.91 million.
