Ukrainian coal mines will be unscheduled to check for safety
On Friday, a regular meeting of the permanent commission on labor protection and industrial safety in the coal industry was held under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Yuriy Vlasenko.
The meeting was attended by specialists from the Ministry of Energy, the State Labor Service of Ukraine, the State Militarized Mine Rescue Service in the Coal Industry, the Social Insurance Fund of Ukraine, trade union organizations, representatives of institutes and scientific institutions, as well as heads of coal mining enterprises, technical managers, deputy general directors (directors of independent mines) for labor protection of coal mining enterprises.
The Commission reviewed the results of the work of coal mining enterprises on labor protection and industrial safety for 9 months of 2021.
As a result of the meeting, the heads of coal mining enterprises, together with the State Militarized Mine Rescue Service in the coal industry, were instructed to conduct an unscheduled test of the knowledge of workers on the rules of behavior during accidents, emergency alerts, emergency exits, locations of emergency protection and self-rescue equipment.
The heads of state-owned coal mining enterprises were warned about their personal responsibility for ensuring the proper state of labor protection and industrial safety and taking measures to improve it.
