Coal production in China increased by 11% in January-August

From January to August this year, China's run-of-the-mill coal production was 2.93 billion tons, up 11.0% year on year, 0.5 percentage points slower than the first seven months of this year. according to the National Bureau of China. Statistics (NBS).

In August alone, China's raw coal production was 370 million tons, up 8.1% year on year, down 8.0 percentage points from July.

In August, China's metallurgical coke production reached 39.11 million tons, up 0.81% month-on-month but down 2.5% year-on-year.

In the first eight months, China's coke production was 318.22 million tons, down 1.1% year-on-year, compared to a 0.2% year-on-year increase recorded in the first seven months.
