Ukraine delivered 86,000 tons of iron ore to Turkey in September - TUIK
According to statistics provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in September Ukraine supplied 86.1 thousand tons of iron ore to this country, while in September 2021 there were no such deliveries at all. It is not reported by what means of delivery such volumes of Ukrainian raw materials were shipped.
According to the results of September 2022, Ukraine became the fourth country in terms of supplies of iron ore raw materials to Turkey, overtaking Russia, which reduced its iron ore imports by 23% to 41 thousand tons. t.
In general, in September this year, Turkey's iron ore imports amounted to 689,769 tons, down 13.9% compared to August and up 28.6% compared to the same month in 2021 . The value of these imports decreased by 26.6% to $87.71 million year on year, and by 35.1% compared to August.
Brazil remains the largest supplier of iron ore to Turkey, which until September this supplied Ankara with 3.31 million tons of iron ore, which is 18.2% less than last year. Brazil is followed by South Africa with 1.19 million tons, followed by Sweden with 1.15 million tons.
