Eastern GOK reduced production of uranium concentrate by 30%

SE "Eastern mining and processing plant" in January-February 2020 compared with the same period of 2019 reduced the production of uranium oxide concentrate by 30.6% - to 115.5 tonnes.

According to the Department of energy and environmental protection, the cost incurred in January and February of concentrate amounted to 244 million 100 thousand UAH. During the reporting period, the plant increased production of uranium ore by 13.2% to 97.1 thousand tons.

In 2019 Eastern GOK reduced production of uranium concentrate by 32% to 801 tons. The amount of funds received from the sale of uranium concentrate in 2019р decreased by 48% and amounted to almost 1 billion 900 million UAH in comparison with the 3.6 billion hryvnia in 2018. In January 2020, VostGOK increased production of uranium oxide concentrate by 29% to 93.6 tonnes.

Previously, coalsalesthat the Interdepartmental Commission on issues of state investment projects the Ministry of economic development of Ukraine agreed for 2020 financing of the state investment project "Novokonstantinovskaya mine. Development of production capacities" in the amount of 140 million. The objective of the project is the construction of the plant with a capacity of 700 tons of uranium oxide concentrate per year.
