13 illegal quarries work in the Nikolaev region - Regional State Administration
The Nikolaev regional state administration announced the illegal work of 13 quarries for the extraction of minerals in the region. This is stated in the answer of the deputy head of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration Alexander Kovalenko to the information request of the regional newspaper NickVesti .
The editorial office of the publication noted that on February 20, an order was issued by the Prime Minister of Ukraine with a requirement for regional administrations to provide information on the facts of illegal mining.
In this regard, on February 27, the head of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration Alexander Stadnik signed an order on the creation of an interdepartmental working group to carry out activities to combat illegal subsoil use in the Nikolaev region. This group includes representatives of regional state administrations, OTG, State Labor Office, Environmental Inspection, State Geocadastre, National Police, Fiscal Service and SBU.
According to the results of the work of the working group and according to the information provided by the National Police, 9 facts of illegal mining were registered in the Nikolaev region. Data on all 9 illegal mining operations are included in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations on the grounds of Part 1, 2.4 of Article 240 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and Part 1 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are being carried out on the indicated productions.
