State Geological Survey of Ukraine joined the European Battery Alliance

The State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine continues to deepen cooperation with the European geological community. Gosgeonedra recently joined the European Battery Alliance (EBA), which has over 600 members united to build a strong and competitive European battery industry. The EBA is comprised of industrial and innovative actors ranging from mining to processing.

According to the chairman of the service, Roman Opimakh, membership in the organization will facilitate the establishment of partnerships with manufacturers of innovative products for the manufacture of which "metals of the future" - lithium and titanium are used.

“Deepening communication with the European business community is part of the great work that we are doing to attract investors to the development of Ukraine's subsoil. Direct dialogue will contribute not only to the interest of European business to invest in Ukraine, but also to improve the mechanisms of work that the regulator offers for domestic and foreign subsoil users, "he said.

The European Commission established the European Battery Alliance in October 2017 to address the ever-growing demand for reliable and efficient batteries for transportation, energy and industrial applications. For Europe, establishing a complete domestic battery value chain is a prerequisite for the transition to clean energy and a competitive industry.
