The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine promised to prevent power outages in mines
One of the biggest problems that most coal mining enterprises in Ukraine are currently facing is the power outage, which has an extremely negative effect on the operation of the mines, the Ministry of Energy said. The head of the department, German Galushchenko, assured that several options for resolving this issue are currently being considered.
“This is one of the key questions. We have mechanisms in place to prevent power outages in mines. I am sure that we will cope with this problem, ”said the Minister of Energy at a meeting with the heads of state coal mining enterprises, where the urgent problems of the coal industry in Ukraine were discussed.
The meeting participants recognized the systemic wage arrears to miners as the most acute problem.
“The situation with the accumulation of debt is repeated from year to year. Now we have solved the problem urgently, but together we must work out mechanisms so that such problems do not recur regularly. I am sure that, first of all, the heads of coal mining enterprises are responsible for the timely payment of wages to employees, ”said Herman Galushchenko.
