Potential investor KGOKOR presented a project to restore the operation of the GOK for $ 100 million
During a working trip to the Kirovograd region, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleg Urusky visited the Directorate of the Kryvyi Rih Ore Mining and Processing Plant (KGOKOR), which since August 2021 belongs to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Strategic Industry.
The Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, together with the head of the Kirovograd Regional State Administration Maria Cherna and the arbitration manager of the reorganization of KGOKOR, got acquainted with the current situation at the enterprise and discussed problematic issues. Today the enterprise, which was created by international cooperation back in Soviet times and had strategic importance, is bankrupt and has been in a state of crisis for many years.
Steps were outlined to address the sustainable provision of water supply and sanitation services to the population.
Oleg Urusky noted that KGOKOR is the only manufacturer of water supply and sewerage services in the city of Dolinskaya, and the termination of its activities will lead to an environmental disaster due to the impossibility of pumping and treating wastewater.
During his visit to KGOKOR, a potential investor presented a project that should revive the enterprise. The total investment may be at least $ 100 million.
“Therefore, there is a hope that the situation with a strategic enterprise for Ukraine will soon be resolved positively and will give a new breath for the population of the city of Dolinskaya,” Oleg Urusky said following the visit.
