Emirates Steel to start production of hot rolled steel coils

The largest industrial conglomerate of the United Arab Emirates is the metallurgical company Emirates Steel announced plans to start production of hot rolled coil (HRC) citing strong domestic and regional demand.

Emirates Steel is currently conducting a due diligence project to build the first of its kind fully automated sheet steel plant in the MENA region. Upon completion of construction, the new plant should increase Emirates Steel's production capacity to over 5 million tonnes per year.

The Abu Dhabi-based steel company says its new plant will have the lowest carbon footprint in the region.

Emirates Steel CEO Said Gumran Al Remeiti emphasized that Emirates Steel is committed to providing its customers with a full range of high-end products and complete solutions for steel consumers.

Emirates Steel is the largest manufacturer of heavy and oversized sections and the only manufacturer of hot rolled sheet piles in the region. The company is the fourth steelmaker in the world to receive ASME accreditation for nuclear grade valves.
