Voestalpine has confirmed that production at the greentec steel mill in Donavica, located at the EAF base, is scheduled to begin in 2027.

The Austrian steel producer has approved plans to further expand production by 100 million euros by 2030, subject to financing. This will increase the capacity of the plant for the production of low-CO2 steel from 850,000 tons to 1.5 million tons per year.
