Boeing launches first 767-300 BCF cargo aircraft production line in China
American Aerospace Corporation Boeing and Chinese company Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd. (GAMECO) have jointly launched the first production line of 767-300 BCF cargo aircraft in China, Boeing China announced on Monday.
This 767-300 BCF production line is located at the GAMECO factory in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, South China. According to Boeing China, the focus is on converting retired 767-300 passenger aircraft into cargo aircraft.
This is the latest step in Boeing's program to expand passenger-to-cargo conversions to meet growing market demand, Boeing China said.
The 767-300BCF Medium Wide Body is designed to serve customers looking to grow their air cargo business in the long haul, regional and feeder markets. The company has already received more than 100 orders worldwide.
The new line is also the first of two lines of 767-300BCFs that Boeing plans to launch in Guangzhou this year with GAMECO.
