The United States imposed a ban on the import and sale of equipment from Huawei, ZTE and a number of other Chinese companies
The US Federal Communications Commission has banned the import and sale in the country of telecommunications equipment manufactured by Huawei, ZTE, Hytera and a number of other companies from China.
“The list of equipment and services subject to the order is currently time includes communications products manufactured by Huawei Technologies, ZTE Corporation, Hytera Communications, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology, and Dahua Technology, as well as their subsidiaries and affiliates,” reads the text of the order published on the FCC website.
The text notes that this equipment "poses an unacceptable risk to national security."
