KAMAZ refused from planned corporate vacation in 2022 due to large production load
In mid-October, KAMAZ approved the dates of corporate leave for 2022, at that time it refused to rest due to the growth of orders only in January. It was planned that the company's corporate vacation next year will fall on May 4-8 (5 calendar days) and July 25 - August 14 (21 calendar days). The remaining two days of annual main leave were planned to be provided in accordance with the approved vacation schedule.
According to the corporate newspaper Vesti KAMAZ, in early November it was decided to completely abandon the planned vacation next year.
“The experience that has been practiced at KAMAZ for the past nine years, when employees of all plants and departments, with the exception of continuous services, went on corporate leave, has justified itself. He gave a positive result, including in terms of financial savings. But sales are growing and the market is demanding more cars. Our capabilities will not allow us to provide the required number of cars if we stop the assembly line for 28 days. It has to work continuously to maintain the daily rate of 210 vehicles and collect the required number of trucks for the market. Decisions on holidays for company employees in 2022 will be made taking into account the capabilities of each of the divisions, based on the need to prevent production interruptions.
The production of trucks at the facilities of KAMAZ for 10 months of 2021 increased by 20.1%, to 35,506 units. The KAMAZ engine plant and the Cummins Kama joint venture have shipped 38,838 units of products since the beginning of the year (+ 18.4%). Shipments of spare parts in January-October increased to 25 billion rubles (+ 25%).
PJSC KAMAZ is the largest manufacturer of heavy trucks in the Russian Federation. Initially, the company's business plan for 2021 envisaged the sale of 37 thousand trucks: 32 thousand units. - in Russia, the rest - abroad. In the middle of the year, the plan was adjusted to 39.5 thousand trucks: 34.5 thousand - in the domestic market, another 5 thousand - for export.
