Taiwan bans stainless steel exports to Russia and Belarus

Taiwan's Ministry of Economy (MOEA) announced the expansion of sanctions against Russia and Belarus, effective immediately, to prevent the two post-Soviet countries from using Taiwanese products for military purposes.

The Ministry has included sheet stainless steel in the list of prohibited steel grades 304 and 316, as well as 50 items, which are mainly related to nuclear energy substances, various goods and materials, chemicals and machine tools, to the list of items prohibited from export to these two countries.

Actions Taiwan to expand sanctions against Russia and Belarus followed the restrictions imposed by allied countries such as the US, EU, Japan and the UK.
