EVRAZ will supply rails for the entire Moscow –Saint Petersburg high-speed railway
EVRAZ ZSMK will produce 161 thousand tons of rail products in 2025-2027, fully securing the main railway tracks of the new highway.

For the first time, DT350VC400 rails will be used, an exclusive product developed by EVRAZ in partnership with Russian Railways for HSR projects.
These are rails with the highest requirements in terms of profile accuracy and straightness, surpassing their global counterparts, according to the company.
The rails are characterized by increased impact strength at temperatures of minus 60 degrees, which ensures reliability and safety when trains travel at speeds up to 400 km/h.
The first shipment is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.
To ensure the reliability of welded joints, EVRAZ ZSMK employees, together with JSC VNIIZHT, have developed special requirements for rail welding modes, which will be implemented under the supervision of specialists from the welding laboratory of the combine at the rail welding plant in St. Petersburg.
