For the first time, a robot was used at EVRAZ ZSMK to repair a blast furnace with liquid cast iron inside
Previously, it took two months to repair, now it takes 16 days and one robot.

The machine itself mixed and applied a refractory coating with a thickness of 150 to 450 mm to the walls of blast furnace No. 1. 1,000 tons of liquid cast iron remained inside. To protect the robot from the heat, rubble was poured from above.
This approach has reduced repair time by four times and made work safer for people.
