Lebedinsky GOK has completed the reconstruction of the concentrator plant

After the work carried out, the productivity of the unit, designed for process water purification and pulp thickening, has almost doubled to 14 thousand m3 of pulp per hour. The solid content in the condensed product will reach 60%, which is three times higher than the previous values.

In three years, we have completed a huge amount of work: we commissioned a new 62-meter thickener, completed the reconstruction of one 100-meter and four 50-meter units, said Sergey Napolskikh, Managing Director of Lebedinsky GOK.

"Modern technologies and materials used in the construction of our facilities are as friendly to nature as possible. This allows minimizing the negative impact on the environment and taking care of resources."

All engineering networks were replaced at the GOK: power supply, process water pipes, pulp pipelines, communication networks, etc. Metal pipes were replaced with gummed pipes, which have a service life of up to 25 years. They are laid on overpasses, which greatly facilitates their maintenance and increases their service life.

The equipment for the thickener was produced by Russian enterprises, including suppliers from the Belgorod region. The general contractor for the construction was the Rudstroy company, which is part of Metalloinvest.

A comprehensive modernization program for the thickening and recycling water supply systems of the processing plant with the reconstruction of existing thickeners is an integral part of Metalloinvest's large–scale investment project to build a new environmentally efficient tailings storage facility at Lebedinsky GOK.

The introduction of advanced technologies will minimize dusting, increase the density of waste storage in the tailings dump and the volume of clarified water returned to production. As a result, specific energy consumption will be reduced by 25%, and dust emissions by 10 times. The total investment in the project will exceed 40 billion rubles.
