The use of these products will help consumers reduce the cost of construction and installation work by reducing metal consumption.
Previously, this type of reinforcement at other Russian enterprises was produced only by cold deformation.
The transition of Promsort-Ural to hot rolling and the exclusion of intermediate technological operations will make it possible to reduce the cost of its production, as well as obtain reinforcement with an optimal combination of strength and ductility.
The product samples from the trial batch have already passed a series of tests in the central factory laboratory Promsort-Ural, confirmed the declared geometric parameters and physico-mechanical properties and fully comply with the requirements of GOST 34028.
During the preparation of the production of a new type of long products, the plant's specialists developed a new calibration, built an original gauge cutting scheme, selected and ordered the necessary cutting tools. The rolling washers were cut at the company's site in Nizhny Sergy.
Promsort-Ural specializes in the production of continuously cast square blanks, rebar bars and bunches, wire rods. The company is capable of producing 2 million tons of steel and rolled products per year. Its production facilities are located at three sites in the Sverdlovsk region. The electric steelmaking plant is located in Revda, and the rolling mill is located in Nizhny Sergy and Berezovsky.
