Belarus buys oil in Russia at $ 4 per barrel
In April, Belarus plans to receive from Russia 2 million tonnes of oil at a price of $ 4 per barrel, said the head of government of Belarus Sergei Rumas. Such a low price the Prime Minister explained "tough and consistent installation" on the purchase of Russian oil without premiums, which gave the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
"the Result of this attitude is the price at which we buy oil in April from the Russian Federation — about $ 4 per barrel," said Rumas.
According to the Prime Minister, "Belneftekhim" should end negotiations with Russian companies on oil supplies in April on Thursday.
At the same time Belarus will continue negotiations with alternative suppliers of hydrocarbons. Russian oil will be supplied to Belarus without payment of the prize suppliers, the Belarusian side will not abandon the alternative options for procurement of raw materials, said the Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko.
the value of the Russian Urals in Northwest Europe (SZE) on Wednesday has decreased in absolute terms for another 2.25 dollar per barrel, following the North sea benchmark, to its lowest level since March 1999 — 10.54 USD per barrel (cif Rotterdam). This price is almost twice lower than the cost of Russian oil during the collapse of the Soviet Union and does not cover for its transportation and customs clearance.
