The oldest and largest Crimean winery "Massandra" was sold to the "Yuzhny Project" company from St. Petersburg. This follows from data Unified electronic trading Roseltorg site.
The starting price of the lot was about 5.3 billion rubles. As a result, the "Southern Project" bought the winery for about 5.32 billion rubles. The company's only competitor was Estate Group. During the auction, she offered a price equal to the starting price.
According to SPARK, Yuzhny Project LLC is 99.9% owned by Rossiya Joint Stock Bank, 0.1% - by Anna Lastochkina. According to data for 2019, billionaire Yuri Kovalchuk F 53 owns the largest share in Bank Rossiya.
The second bidder "Estate Group" was registered in Moscow only in October this year, it follows from SPARK. The authorized capital of the company is 10,000 rubles, and its main activity is “consulting on commercial activities and management”.
In 2017, the "South Project" has already bought the Crimean winery "Novy Svet" for 1.5 billion rubles.
The facilities of the Massandra winery are located in Yalta. The winery employs about 2 800 people. The land area of Massandra is 104.8 hectares, and the area of its premises is 987 989 sq. m. In 2014, the European Union imposed sanctions against the Massandra winery. In 2018, US sanctions also affected the new owner of the plant, South Project.
