Director of the metallurgy department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia arrested for two months

The Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow arrested Pavel Servatinsky, director of the Department of Metallurgy and Building Materials of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, for two months, reported by the press service of the court. An employee of the department is accused of abuse of office.

“On April 2, 2021, the Khamovnichesky court granted the request of the investigating authorities to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention against Pavel Servatinsky, accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 286 (Criminal Code, abuse of office) for a period until June 1, 2021, ”the press service said.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade, commenting on the detention of Servatinsky on April 2, reported that the department provides all the necessary information "to establish the truth" during investigative measures. The position of the ministry is that its employees must meet the increased requirements imposed on them by citizens and law enforcement agencies and "act strictly within the law."
