Russia decided to abolish duties on equipment for aircraft repair

During the meeting on customs-tariff and non-tariff regulation, protective measures in foreign trade of the Government Commission on Economic Development and Integration, an initiative was approved to extend the tariff benefit to equipment that is necessary for the repair and maintenance of civil cargo aircraft, approved by the Customs Commission. union.

The Sub-Commission supported the decision to establish duty-free import of aircraft components for the repair and (or) maintenance of civil cargo aircraft and (or) aircraft engines for them. Currently, the duty on required parts ranges from 5 to 15%. Now the fleet includes 21 cargo aircraft, but in the medium term, it is planned to increase the fleet to 46 civilian cargo aircraft.

Such a measure is necessary to ensure the intensive use of aviation technology and will help reduce the costs of the operator to maintain the flight readiness of cargo aircraft.

Recall that at the moment the duty-free tariff benefit applies only to civil passenger aircraft.

Also, in order to support Russian manufacturers of light sources, the members of the subcommittee approved the initiative of the Republic of Belarus to increase the rates of import customs duties on light-emitting diode lamps from 0 to 5% until December 31, 2025.
